This respected Government organisation have an immediate need for a experienced Commercial Manager to lead the development and implementation of a commercial/procurement plan.
The successful candidate must have public sector knowledge and an understanding of contemporary approaches to strategic procurement best practice, with a ICT focus.

Reporting into the Director, in this procurement focused role, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assess supply needs and research potential suppliers with stakeholders.
- Assist the Director Governance with procurement activities.
- Liaise with vendors to communicate pricing and performance requirements.
- Source suppliers, draft procurement documents, and perform cost-benefit analysis.
- Lead negotiations for procurement contracts with selected vendors and suppliers.
- Identify and report any delivery or performance issues.
- Work with business reps to engage suppliers based on needs.
- Provide procurement and commercial advice to executives.
- Manage the contracts register and drive procurement improvements across the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar Commercial Manager role within a large and/or complex organisation.
- Experience in leading high-value, complex ICT contracts, ensuring supplier performance and value for money.
- Knowledge of NSW Government procurement systems, policies, and regulations.
- Ability to communicate technical, commercial, and procurement details to non-technical audiences.
