This NSW Government department is committed to delivering exceptional service to clients across the state. They are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team, focusing on payroll processing.
The role offers an immediate start for a 3-month period, based in Burwood.
The Job
Reporting to the Team Leader, Payroll your role will involve:
- Manage incoming payroll enquiries and requests, including advising staff on timesheet completion.
- Respond to general enquiries confidentially and with a customer focus.
- Support roster, time, and attendance management using various systems.
- Accurately record and track enquiries, requests, and resolutions.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate roster data entry for payroll processing.
- Contribute to quality initiatives for consistent and high-level service delivery.
You
To be successful in this role you will have/be able to:
- Previous experience in a customer-centric service organisation such as a contact centre, service centre, shared service, corporate or managed service environment.
- Exposure to payroll or finance support will be highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Professional and ethical approach, maintaining strict confidentiality.
