Due to expansion a gap exists for a diligent and effective Legal Secretary to join a company where respect, diversity and inclusion are a given, as well as taking time out to reflect on a job well done.
The Role:
- Providing general secretarial and administrative assistance to one Partner and two Special Counsels providing a high level of dictation / transcription
- Handling initial client inquiries
- Communicating with external parties such as clients, barristers’ clerks, courts, and other solicitors
- Overseeing file management, from opening to archiving
- Managing calendars, including sending reminders for court dates
- Coordinating travel arrangements as required
- Preparing exhibits and briefs for counsel
- Secretarial support including formatting precedents and documents working company guidelines
- Preparing court forms
- Processing monthly invoices
- Managing debtor reminders
- Performing filing, photocopying and scanning tasks as required
- This is a permanent full-time position, a 9-day fortnight may be considered for the right candidate
- Ideally you will have at least 2 years experience working as a Legal Secretary and keen to continue your journey
- You will be comfortable working on varied tasks to support the litigation team
- On-site role that promotes collaboration and teamwork
- Due to the high level of autonomy and specialised skills required for this role, it is perfect for those looking to advance their career rather than students or recent graduates
- Standard working hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with minimal expectations for overtime
